It did exactly that

what I needed. I slept for 30 min and was awake,fit and ready for the rest of the day. I really am convinced about these binaural thingis. It works for me.

Great Ap

I use this ap to fall asleep to every night. It puts me to sleep much faster than any other programs Ive used. I do wish it had more options for the nature sounds and that the alarm sounded louder (it alone usually will not wake me up).

I use this app when Im on the road and I need a short quick rest. I find it very effective.

Helps fall asleep

I can easily fall asleep by listening to the sounds but the alarm to wake you up is to soft for deep sleepers. If the alarm sound got louder and you could make it go to full volume without making the noise at full I would give it 5 stars.

Perfect and it Works

I recently got this app because I loved their earlier roduct, Brain Waves. This app is terrific! Yesterday I was feeling very restless during the day, due to a poor nights sleep the night before, so I figures Id try it for a 30 minute PowerNap. Within 10 minutes I couldnt stay still, so I got up and had an energized and productive rest of my day! This app really works!!!

Wat?

On the picture it shows the brainwave intensity bar thing but that is not on my iPod wat happened?

Good concept. Flawed execution.

There are two glaring problems with this app. The first is that when it shifts between brainwave states, there is a loud switching sound. So even if it is working to put you to sleep, as it attempts to take you deeper it actually jolts you awake. The second issue is the inability to control the brainwave and sound effects volume individually. The first issue is the main problem. If that can be fixed so the transition between frequencies is seamless, I will update my rating.

Indispensable!

Im an architect, work long hours, and most days need a power nap to refresh my energies. This little app has been a welcome addition to my iphone arsenal, a productivity wonder that makes me, well, wonder what I did without it!

i cant wake up

plzzzzz make an option to change the alarm. i wanted to sleep 4 10 mins and ended sleepin 4 5 hrs, make it an option plzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

A huge productivity boost

Ive been using this to take short 20 minute power naps and I cant believe the results. I totally agree with other reviewers that say this app is indespensible. Everyone should have this one. I feel better, my work is better, and Im more creative. They really have perfected the science of the nap with this app.

Perfect app low price

A couple of problems...

I am close to giving this app 5 stars, but a couple of things are needed first. Because this is for power naps, it stands to reason that some options are needed to insure that it wakes you at the time you requested. I need something more than a gentle chime. To be have a seperate alarm volume with alarm choices would be nice. Also, a vibrate option for the iPhone, as you have on your Travel Sleep app would be great. This is a great program that only needs a little tweaking.

Unbelievable results

I was skeptical about the claim that listening to sine waves through headphones (or ear buds, and you MUST use one of these. This wont work if you simply play this through speakers) could induce deep relaxation or sleep. Well, I want to tell you that this worked and worked so well that I bought other apps using this technology. You set the timer, aturn the volume to low (just noticeably audible is fine) and listen passively. Dont concentrate: this isnt meditation where you have to focus on anything. Just relax, daydream, and, before you know it, you may find yourself napping or deeply relaxed. I know that I did. How does it work? When two tones of differing but close frequencies play in your ears, the brain tries to combine them by blending. If the resulting blend is similar to a brainwave pattern, the brain will mimic this frequency and gradually settle down into that frequency. Beta waves stimulate. Alpha waves relax. Theta waves lead to meditation and sleep. Delta waves lead to deep sleep. This app carries you through several frequencies until you are relaxed. I find that 15-20 minutes is enough to knock me out. Not everyone is equally sensitive to this phenomenon but I am glad that I am!

Needs some tweaking please

I have two of your other apps Brain Wave and Sharp Mind that Im happy with. I had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately the beat transitions are not smooth and I wake up easily between them. I dont hear a click as one reviewer posted as I fall back to sleep and have not made it a point to replay while Im awake. But this is an issue that should be addressed quickly. I use a competitors power nap and do not have this issue. I downloaded yours because I liked the option of setting the nap time. I do agree that the alarm is too subtle. The app should utilize the physics of the iphone with vibrate and progressive sound escalation. I take power naps almost daily so would love to see an update soon, so that I can get the use out of my investment. Thanks for making a binaural app specifically for this use.

Most helpful...

...and I am normally a 2 hr napper..but this app actually has helped me 3 times already..when I was feeling soo tired--(I have adrenal gland damage)--to take a just a mere 20 mins to prop my legs up, put in my earbuds and then to feel refreshed/ready to continue with my day when the chimes went off--my husband & i were utterly amazed!!! Unlike some of the other reviews..the chimes are perfect for some of us..so maybe the developers could add in a stronger alarm to come on after them..with perhaps a slight delay so the rest of us dont have to be jarred..as a back up plan? I also have three other of their apps, which I am tickled with: SHARP MIND, BRAIN TUNER, and ALTERED STATES--thank you for these pieces of art!! All you have to do is update each with a fade out of the sound at the end of each mode and you will have my last star added! :-)

Reccomendations 4 use

For people whove never used these before, Id reccomend using the 5 min a couple of times, just to get your brain acclimated to the sounds, and the waves. Aside from that, I use it for prolonging all-nighters. All in all, a good app.

Waste of a dollar.

This app is stupid. Dont buy it! I feel like Im in a hospital CAT scan machine. I have another app that utilizes this technique, but the brain wave sounds arent this loud, and it was free!

This app is amazing and just keeps getting better! It works incredibly well. It puts me to sleep, recharges me and helps me wake up alert and focused. If youre studying for a test, or riding the train to work, you need this app.
